Well, you can take some selotape and put it on stripHow do you keep printer ink cartridges from drying up?
Unfortunately no.
Apart from keeping the printer within the heat range specified by the manufacture.
Generally if your comfortable the printer will be as well.
Also most Ink Jet cartridges are rated for 6 months from time of opening.
This is not well know but some manufactures program the cartridge with a ';Time to Die'; and a ';Page Counter'; so the Cartridge will cease working after a certain number of pages have been printed or it's Service Life has expired which ever comes first.
The above applies to cartridges that have inbuilt print heads.
Manufactures have a number of reasons for doing this usually explained as guaranteeing the best print quality.
Old cartridges can not do this so the Manufactures fix there life.
The most complaints I get from owners of Ink jet printers are of the type you mention. That is:
';I hardly used it and now it wont print Grrrrrrrrrrr';
the only way to keep and to maintain your cartridge is to test print your printer every 2 days....
Do a test print once a week.
