No one discloses the composition of the ink they use in the printer they make. You can try with different kind of inks available in the market. However there's a chance in damaging the print head which would cost you heavily.

One thing its not illegal. One can put anything in the equipment he is owning, only you may not be entitled to get warranty coverage. How do I make my own printer ink?
Buy a bottle of Ink and a small dr. injection pump..

But I suggest you don't do it because it's illegal and your printer head will be bad/defect after using this kind of ink.
No, this is not illegal, however it will invalidate your printer's warranty.

Chances are that you could clog up the print heads in your printer. If you want to save money, buy remanufactured cartridges
My advice to you is not to bother as it can be very messy and you could do a lot of damage to your printer etc, Things can be gone very wrong inside your printer before you will find out. Just think of it, what a mess!?!. You can certainly do it. Get all the advice you can from someone with experience.

The Guarantee for your printer will not cover that damage. So any savings you make with your own ink put it aside for a new printer, on an inky day.
Go to the pound shop it's only a 拢.
You're kidding.
