How can i save my printer ink?

the inks are so expensive, can anyone provide me some ways to save my ink?How can i save my printer ink?
You can most often go into the ';Properties'; setting of your printer's print box (this usually only comes up if you click on print under the ';File'; menu in the toolbar of your application, using the print button on the app usually prints at default quality) and if what you are printing is for personal use, such as a text document, choose ';fast'; or ';low'; on the print speed or quality button or tab. This will not only use less ink, it will print faster, usually a little lighter, but still good quality. Reserve the default settings for pictures, photos etc. If you use the fastest print settings for most of your printing needs you should see a significant ink savings, stretching your ink out as much as twice as far or more, depending on the make and model of your printer. How can i save my printer ink?
use compatible cartridges instead of name brand. use cartridges which give you more ink. While the name brands have been cutting back on the amount of ink they provide, many compatible manufacturers have not. Epson gives you a miserly 7 ml of ink. CCS-digital.com gives you 20 ml, almost triple the amount. And you can get 11 free cartridges every month. Read http://www.ccs-digital.com/freeink.asp for details.
Get a CISS for your printer. It will save you TONS of MONEY, never change a cartridge again and it will pay for itself in a month.

try not to print things that aren't really important and also try to make either the font or picture or whatever you are printing out smaller
