Printer / ink problem: is there any way to ';trick'; an Epson C46 into charging the ink ?

Box came up showing the ink levels as being empty with a little red x in a white circle above them. I changed the cartridge even though the normal step-by-step procedure guide thingamajig didn't come up. But at the end, it didn't do the normal ink charging.





Can I get it to do it any other way?

running the ink dry is not recommended it will just block up the ink jets





you can Reset internal ink counters even with empty cartridges

I have an Epson C66 %26amp; have found that it says 'empty', long before it is to trick you into buying another expensive cartridge. Just keep going until it won't print any more.
did you take the seal off before you put the cartridge in?
