What is the difference between high capacity and standard printer ink?

Last time I bought high capacity ink for my printer but standard is much cheaper. Is it best to stick to higher quality? what's the difference? Does the cheaper one cause problems?What is the difference between high capacity and standard printer ink?
High capacity, mean more ink in the catridge, not better quallity. The quallity is just the same





Just one ink catridge has more ink than the other,


To give you an example, my HP 3210 can accept two different black ink catridges,


one of 6 ml capacity, cost about 10$, the other with 17 ml capacity cost about 22$,





The second one as you can see has twice the price of the first one but almost three times more ink than first one. So it's better for me to buy the second one, as it last almost three times more.(After tests in my printer first ink catridge last for about 250 pages, as the second one last for about 650)





So depend on what you're doing and how often you use your printer is up to you to decide what you need.





But for me high capacity ink catridges are recommended as it may cost double, but print three times more pages (in my case.)





And if you put in all that ,the printer cleaning once in a while then you will see that high capacity catridges are better. If you need to buy let say one high ink capacity in a month, you'll need 3 low capacity at same time, so the cost will be more.





But keep in mind that QUALLITY is exactly the same,if you use the catridges recomended by the printer vendor.





Now if you talk about refill the catridge with ink, or buy inm from other vendor simmilar to your printer, then you have to consider this:





A)The quallity of the ink.


B)If something go wrong the warranty void.


C)Low quallity photos, as not all ink much in any printer. Especially ink-jet printers.





So my advice is to stick with the ink catridges that printer vendor recomend, if you want quallity on your print job.





If you don't mind quallity, then you can check out other catridges, much cheaper.





I don't say that cheaper catridges are not of good quality, as vendors catridges most of the times are


overestimate.





But for sure not the same quallity as the vendors.

Wait, high quality or high capacity? High capacity simply means that more ink comes in the cartridge, so it'll last longer. Higher quality is for photos and stuff like that, and it's made for photo-quality paper. You won't notice a quality difference if you use it on regular paper.
';high capacity'; or ';high yield'; ink is a larger volume tank. its the same quality just more ink or toner, depending if you have an inkjet printer or laser.
the difference is the amount of ink. example standard hp deskjet printer ink may have 11ml of ink while high capacity ink may have 18mlof ink. the quality is exatly the same, only difference is you can print more copies with the high capacity ink.
In a nutshell your high capacity cartridge is just a greater page yield. For example the HP 95 inkjet cartridge is considered a standard yield and can print up to 260 pages. The HP 97 inkjet is considered the high capacity cartridge for similar printers and it can print up to 580 pages.





Same thing with laser printers, HP cartridges have an A for standard and an X for High Capacity. (ie. C4127A (standard) C4127X (High Capacity)). Have a great day!!
